In the mid 1920's, Carlisle SynTec began as a molded inner tube manufacturing facility, and from there developed the technology of wide width rubber sheeting.  By the 1960's, Carlisle introduced to the commercial market their first single ply product.

As of today, Carlisle SynTec has produced and sold over twelve billion square feet of roofing materials. From their experience and expertise within Carlisle SynTec our contractors are ensured the best single ply products and service available.  Carlisle SynTec was the first manufacturer to provide installation inspection services conducted by Carlisle Technicians. During the 80's their $10 million dollar R&D facility was solely devoted to single ply roofing product innovations. This addition enhanced the single ply product line to provide products to assist the contractor in quicker installation and easier applications.

In the 1990's, as the green movement developed a head of steam, Energy Star rating was achieved for their products.  Low VOC accessories along with other products were created to address environmental sensitivity and the ever increasing green movement. As of today Carlisle has over 21 manufacturing facilities and continually strives to develop new products and services that provide a positive impact, not only in the single ply market but the roofing industry as a whole.
